To set up a local account on a new computer with Windows 11 Home Edition without having to log in with a Microsoft account, follow these steps:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. On the setup page, click Next<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. On the Let’s connect you to a network<\/strong> page, click I don’t have an internet connection<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. On the What’s your region?<\/strong> page, select your region and click Next<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. On the Choose a keyboard layout<\/strong> page, select your keyboard layout and click Next<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  5. On the Add a second keyboard layout (optional)<\/strong> page, skip adding a second keyboard layout by clicking Skip<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  6. On the Who’s using this PC?<\/strong> page, click Set up for myself<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  7. On the Let’s create an account for you<\/strong> page, click I don’t have a Microsoft account<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  8. On the Create an account<\/strong> page, enter a username and password for your local account. You can also set up security questions and a password hint.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  9. Click Next<\/strong> to create your local account.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Once your local account is created, you will be able to log in to your computer with it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Note:<\/strong> If you are setting up a new computer with Windows 11 Home Edition and you have an internet connection, you will be prompted to sign in with a Microsoft account. However, you can still create a local account by following the steps above.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Additional tips:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    • To make it easier to find the option to create a local account, you can press Shift<\/strong>+F10<\/strong> on the Let’s connect you to a network<\/strong> page to open a command prompt window. Then, type the following command and press Enter<\/strong>:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

      This will restart the setup process and give you the option to create a local account on the Let’s create an account for you<\/strong> page.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      • If you are setting up a new computer with Windows 11 Home Edition and you have already created a Microsoft account, you can switch to a local account by following these steps:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

        1. Open Settings<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        2. Click Accounts<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        3. Click Your info<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        4. Click the Sign in with a local account instead<\/strong> link.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        5. Enter your current Microsoft account password and click Next<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        6. Enter a username and password for your local account. You can also set up security questions and a password hint.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        7. Click Next<\/strong> to create your local account.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
