Acer has joined the ranks of computer brands embracing Intel’s latest 14th Gen “Meteor Lake” CPUs. The Acer Swift Go 14 laptop, available for purchase now, features a Meteor Lake CPU, while the all-new Predator Triton Neo 16 is set to launch next year.

The All-New Predator Triton Neo 16

The Acer Predator Triton Neo 16 is designed for gaming and content creation, boasting Intel’s latest CPUs and NVIDIA’s 40-series GPUs. It sports a large 16-inch display with a 3.2K resolution and 165Hz refresh rate in select configurations. Buyers can choose from Intel Core Ultra 9 185H, Ultra 7 155H, or Ultra 5 125H CPUs, and the most powerful configuration includes an NVIDIA 4070 GPU with DLSS 3.0 enhancements. Storage options go up to 2TB (PCIe Gen 4 NVMe), and the maximum RAM configuration is 32GB (LPDDR5X).

The Predator Triton Neo 16 also features Acer’s latest AeroBlade 3D fan, liquid metal thermal grease, and vector airflow pipes. It offers a dedicated PredatorSense key for quick performance mode switching and a 3-zone RGB system with shine-through keycaps. The laptop’s battery life has not been disclosed, but with Intel’s AI Boost technology and NVIDIA’s DLSS enhancements, users can expect some power-saving benefits.

In terms of connectivity, the Predator Triton Neo 16 comes with two Thunderbolt 4 ports, USB-A ports, an HDMI jack, an SD card slot, a headphone jack, and a barrel jack power connector. It also includes a Kensington lock for added security. The starting price for the Predator Triton Neo 16 is $1,500, and it will be available from March 2024.

The Upgraded Swift Go 14

The Acer Swift Go 14, first unveiled at CES 2023, now receives the Meteor Lake upgrade. Positioned as Acer’s answer to the MacBook Air, the Swift Go 14 offers premium features, including a powerful CPU and a stunning display. It now comes with Intel Core Ultra 7 155H and Ultra 5 125H configurations, which provide extra processing power and Intel AI Boost functionality to reduce power consumption during local AI tasks.

All models of the Swift Go 14 feature a 1440p QHD webcam enhanced by video conferencing AI, offering noise reduction, image correction, and automatic framing technology. The upgraded Swift Go 14 achieves a 12.5-hour battery life, thanks to Intel AI Boost technology. Other specifications include a choice between an IPS touchscreen display or an OLED display, a maximum RAM configuration of 32GB (LPDDR5X), and storage options up to 1TB (PCIe Gen 4). The upgraded Swift Go 14 is available now, with prices starting at $800.
